Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami assistant secretary general Maulana Abdul Halim said, “The racist miscreants have hurt the faith and belief of the Muslims of the world by burning The Holy Quran in Stockholm of Sweden. They have also shown audacity by doing this.”
He today said these as the chief guest while speaking at a pre-demonstration rally at Gol Chottor area of Mirpur-1 in the capital. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City North arranged a demonstration as part of the central program condemning and protesting the incident of burning Quran in Stockholm of Sweden. Jamaat Dhaka City North secretary and member of central working committee Dr. Muhammad Rezaul Karim presided over the rally. Engineer Golum Mustafa, member of central Mojlish-e-Shura and Nayeeb-e-Ameer of Jamaat Dhaka City North, Nazim Uddin Mollah, member of central Mojlish-e-Shura and assistant secretary of Jamaat Dhaka City North, Dr. Fakharuddin Manik, Hemayet Hossain, member of working committee of Jamaat Dhaka City North, Ziaul Hasan, Maulana Muhibullah, Jamal Uddin, Muhammad Ataur Rahman Sarker, Nasir Uddin, Salauddin, president of BISS of Dhaka City North, Asaduzzaman, president of BISS of Dhaka City West, student leader Abdur Rahim and others were also present in the rally. A demonstration was held at the end of the rally. Maulana Abdul Halim led the demonstration.
“The Holy Quran is the document of world peace. The Muslim community will not take this incident easily,” Abdul Halim added.
He called upon the Swedish government to immediately bring the miscreants under Justice.
“The Holy Quran is universal. All irrespective of religion and caste show respect to this Holy Book. The Holy Quran is the standard of human excellency. Muslims are peaceful but insulting Quran thay are being irritated. But the Muslims will solve all challenges peacefully In-Sha-Allah,” Jamaat leader also added.
“Miscreants broke Muslims’ heart burning Quran in Sweden. The pious are rising their voices against this incident. Most of the people of our country are Muslims. But the government of Bangladesh, a Muslim-majority country, ended the responsibility by protesting the incident only,” he further added.
Maulana Abdul Halim strongly demanded to discuss the incident in the national parliament to accept a condemnation proposal.
He welcomed the pious Muslims from the side of acting Jamaat Ameer professor Muzibur Rahman to participate in the demonstration.
Dr. Rezaul Karim as the chair demanded the capital punishment of the culprits.
“Blasphemous law should be made if necessary. Government has imprisoned Jamaat leaders unlawfully. Rafiqul Islam Khan, assistant secretary general of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, was appeared in the court inhumanly. Jamaat wants to establish rules of law and rules of honest people in the country,” he added as the chair.
He demanded the immediate release of all political leaders including Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and City Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin.
